When Belle Vogue Bride Jessica walked down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be-husband Brendan, she wore a beautiful vintage-inspired Essense of Australia gown. The fit-and-flare silhouette and layered lace were the perfect match for their romantic July 2017 nuptials in Kansas City. Jessica topped off her look with a boho flower crown and pretty light-blue heels, while Brendan wore a sleek navy tux and bowtie. Along with their guests, they dined and danced at 28 Event Space in Kansas City’s eclectic Crossroads Arts District. Congrats, Jessica and Brendan! What a beautiful day!
From the bride: Bethany helped me when shopping for my dress at Belle Vogue. She made the experience super comfortable and free of pressure. She was very honest and down to earth. I found my dress during our first visit to Belle Vogue, but Bethany encouraged me to be 100-percent sure before saying “yes.” I looked around—went to three other dress shops—and ended up returning to Belle Vogue to get that dress about a week later! My experience at Belle Vogue was by far the best dress-shopping experience I had anywhere!
I knew I wanted a lace gown and was leaning towards a vintage-inspired style (and I knew that Belle Vogue had a large selection of lace gowns). I found a lot of dresses that I loved the front of, or the back of, but felt that the rest of the dress was lacking. I fell in love with my gown because it was SO BEAUTIFUL from every direction—a pretty illusion sweetheart neckline and tiers of lace in the front, and floral illusion detailing, pearl buttons and a cathedral-length lace train in the back. It was elegant and romantic, but certainly not boring…seriously perfect!
My favorite memory from our wedding day was when my husband and his groomsmen (all of whom are super musical) surprised me by performing a song (“I’ve Just Seen a Face” by The Beatles) at our reception. It was so, so sweet. Thankfully, our photographer caught a portion on video!
