Combining Indian traditions with modern wedding-day flair, Rupal married Jerrod in a beaded, figure-hugging gown by Stella York. Their ceremonies (yes, there were two!) and reception were held at the elegant Hilton President Kansas City on September 30, 2017. Rupal’s bridesmaids wore vibrant purple gowns, and the formal ballroom was accented with gorgeous gold, purple and white decor. Congrats, Rupal and Jerrod! We’re in love with your beautiful photos…and your adorable dog, Oliver!
From the bride: I was looking for a fitted, beaded trumpet wedding dress that wasn’t bright white. I tried on Stella York Style 6541 and it looked perfect—it was exactly what I wanted. When I tried on this dress (Belle Vogue was one of the last places we visited that day), my sister teared up and said she knew it was the right one for me. I loved the intricate beading!
Jerrod and I had a romantic-style wedding that incorporated a traditional wedding ceremony AND a Hindu ceremony so that we could include both traditions and elements in the big day. We did both ceremonies and the reception at the same venue. Having the Hindu ceremony was a neat experience for our guests, some of whom had never attended an Indian wedding. I also had henna done on my hands and feet, and it was great to see that in our photos, even with the traditional Stella York dress.
Being able to add the unique Hindu traditions (and outfits), and, of course, having our dog Oliver included in the wedding, were what made our day so special.
